Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

I am a short woman who has always wanted to be tall. And, like most women, my solution to this dilemma is to wear high heels. However, I am the world’s most accident prone and uncoordinated woman. Whenever I wear heels, something bad will happen to me i.e – sprained ankle, corns, cuts on my feet, etc. And this is a big problem for me because I LOVE how I feel in a pair of high red patent leather peep toe heels. It might just be me, but whenever I put on heels I feel more confident and prettier.

Recently, my sister bought a pair of Cole Haans’ shoes that have Nike Air technology in them. When I first heard of the Nike Air high heels I was skeptical because I didn’t really believe that heels could be comfortable. (And honestly, if heels could have been this comfortable from the beginning, then why didn’t shoemakers design them like this in the first place?) I tried them on, and my feet felt amazing! It really felt like I was wearing sneakers, I could even run in these 3.5 inch heels!

There are two main problems with these shoes: 1. The shoes cost A LOT. The pair my sister bought cost over $300. I love shoes, but I don’t know if I would be willing to pay that much for a pair. I am waiting for another company, such as Target or Forever 21, to copy this design and manufacture them for women with a more modest budget. 2. I didn’t see a lot of different style types. The shoes with Nike Air technology on the Cole Haans’ website were hot and stylish, but there wasn’t a whole lot to choose from. I just would like to see more of a variety.

Above: The Cole Haan’s shoes my sister has. I ‘m thinking of ways I can steal them from her.
