Indian Food

On Friday, I met my old college roommate for dinner. She never had Indian food before, so I took her to a great Indian restaurant called Rasoi. There are three convenient locations in Iselin, South Brunswick, and Newark. This is seriously one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to, and I'm someone who frequents Edison and Jackson Heights a lot. So, if you're ever in the mood for Indian food -- here's the place for you! Here's a link to their website: www.rasoiindianrestaurant.com

Below are pictures of onion kulchi (onion bread), vegetable biryani, and chicken malai kebabs. They serve the dishes family style, so definitely share with your dinner guests! (Also, they have a lunch buffet on weekdays, which I've been dying to try.)

The Return of Jello No-Bake Cake

One of my favorite desserts growing up was the Reese's Jello No-Bake Cake. It's super easy to make, doesn't take long, and tastes delicious! However, I haven't been able to find this product in stores for such a long time. And trust me, I've been searching for it in shoprites, pathmarks, wegmanns, and stop and shops all over central New Jersey. All my searching has finally paid off because I found the lovely orange box at my local Target store.

I immediately snatched a box off the shelves and took it to checkout. And right when I got home, I started "creating" this amazing cake. I decided to change things a little bit by adding chopped walnuts to the top of the cake -- but it tastes great with or without it. If you ever see this box at your local supermarket, you should definitely get it!

Shake shack burgers are my new obsession

Last week, I met up with a friend in Madison Square Park, which is near Union Square. It was a really nice day, so we both wanted to grab a quick dinner outside. We decided the best place to go was the Shake Shack which is conveniently located in Madison Square Park. The menu was pretty simple -- mostly consisting of burgers, fries, hotdogs, and other grilled foods. I decide to try the Shake Shack burger, which had cheese, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, and etc. Honestly, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The patty was super moist and juicy! Also, I liked that it was not an enormous burger -- like I so often see these days. You can check out the menu at http://shakeshack.com/
